Pickleball is booming across Brisbane, and these beginner-friendly sessions are designed to give you everything you need to get started — rules, scoring, court positioning, and plenty of on-court practice.
Whether you’ve played tennis, badminton, table tennis, or absolutely nothing before, pickleball is quick to learn and a lot of fun. Our Come & Try sessions are relaxed, welcoming, and run specifically for players who are brand new to the sport.
What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a fast-growing paddle sport that mixes elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It’s played on a smaller court, the rallies are exciting, and the game is easy to pick up in your first hour of playing. It’s also suitable for all ages and fitness levels, which is why so many new players across Brisbane are giving it a go.
Why Come & Try Is the Best Place to Start
Our Come & Try sessions are the easiest way to learn pickleball in Brisbane — especially on the Northside. Each session covers the basics:
Serving technique
Basic court positioning
How the scoring works
Key rules (including the kitchen)
Short rallies and match play
You don’t need to bring anything — paddles and balls are provided, and the courts are undercover, so sessions run rain or shine.
Beginner-Friendly Coaching
The session is guided step-by-step, making it ideal for first-timers, casual players, or anyone curious about trying something new. You’ll learn the foundations of the game the right way, which sets you up perfectly to join our other beginner sessions and social play once you feel ready.
